I've done a few 25 mile rides both playing music and running a GPS app on my iPhone 4s and my battery gained about 5-10% increase in power. I've used other dynamo chargers in the past that would handily charge a iPhone to full in about 2-3 hours, so when trying this I expected the same thing. Don't expect this to charge as quickly as plugging it into the wall, but this will definitely sustain your battery for your entire ride, with a small increase in power. I'll assume that it could charge a lot quicker if the device was powered down.
Very light package, simple install, and a nice toggle switch, which can route the power to the charger or a dynamo powered light.
